FII,as some refer to thic cd, is maybe the most pop-frindly thing this band has ever done, in what seems to be a blatant attempt at radio play, Dreamtheater borrows from the pop-prog heroes of yesteryear ie: Pink Floyd, Kansas, Yes. All while employing some metal infuences and as always some fusion sections for good measure. Some followers of the band, according to certain reviews, were very displeased with this self-admitted sales approach, and felt the band had sold out, myself? Well this is awefully good pop, and if this is the bands worst effort, well, the must have some outstanding good ones, as I enjoyed the cd beginning to end, is it my favorite by the band ? No, but is isn't as bad as some would say, in fact many might find it their best in terms of being the least technical thing they have done.
