Following in the steps of The Moody Blues on the live circuit, Kansas jumped across the ocean to Abbey Road studios to record this album of old favorites with orchestra which included a ‘not too bad’ version of The Beatles Eleanor Rigby and other gems from the Kansas catalog.
This CD is quite nice in spots and the orchestra adds to songs that to be honest, had become stale over two and a half decades of ‘classic rock’ radio and multiple plays on my own stereo system. While not something I play very often, it is a refreshing listen from time to time and far more interesting than Power or In The Spirit Of Things.
