This is a nice one by Rick Wakeman. A movie score for the 1982 Football World Cup. Probably for this reason, Wakeman's emphasis is more on mood than it is on technical performance. Still Wakeman being Wakeman, he does crank it up a bit on more than a few occasions, but it is much mellower cd than what he usually offered us in the eighties.

There is somewhat of a Charriots of Fire feel to this music (two movie scores on a sport related subject by a well known keyboardist), even though Wakeman always rocks a bit more than Vangelis.

If you are a fan of Rick Wakeman, G'ole! is certainly a must have in your cd collection.
