Taylor's Universe has been the main vehicule allowing Robin Taylor to express his musical talent. He writes the music and plays keyboards, bass, guitar... but Almost Perfect is far from being a solo project, since Taylor is joined by a group of very talented musicians.

Having been a fan of his music for quite a while, I have been able to witness his evolution as a composer and I must say that I really like what I hear on his latest CD.

I would describe Almost Perfected as a jazz rock/prog album that should appeal to fans of fusion, prog and jazz. All four long tracks offer great dialogues between saxophone, guitar and keys (greatly supported by the rythm section) and from beginning to end this is a captivating album.

Robin Taylor has given a great instrumental album (with some occasional but very nice vocalisations). It is titled Almost Perfected but I would say that he has ''totally perfected'' his craft. Highly recommended indeed!!!!
