Guilty of Innocence by Joe Deninzon & Stratospheerius gives us nine songs of energetic jazz-funk that I would compare to the great Living Colour.
Even though the two bands don't actually sound alike, I recognise many of the qualities I like from Living Colour's music on Guilty of Innocence... some great ''wall of sound'' guitars, dynamic bass and drums in evidence, fantastic soloing and great lead vocals.
The last track on Guilty of Innocence stands out, it's a 12+ minutes song that will certainly please prog metal fans. This one has Dream Theater qualities and ends the album in great fashion.
Guilty of Innocence is an album that should please fans of hard and heavy jazz-funk, but the enthusiastic progressive rock fan should also find much to enjoy in it too.
