The full, unedited version of a performance by Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention recorded on 6th October 1968 for legendary German TV show The Beat-Club.
The DVD (ntsc, region 0, b&w) comprises a filmed rehearsal of Zappa and the Mothers performing one continuous improvisation, but is punctuated by Zappa directing the band to play the opening themes of well-known pieces including King Kong, A Pound For A Brown On The Bus, Sleeping In A Jar and Uncle Meat.
The release provides a fascinating insight into the working methods of the famed Uncle Meat-era version of the Mothers and contains the full 35 minute broadcast plus soundchecks.
