No doubt these Italian guys were influenced by old Helloween, Stratovarius and Gamma Ray, but then they added a little of their own: Fantasy lyrics and a Medieval feeling that revives your youth imagination of lands with dragons and wizards.
The excellent keyboards are the key to that Medieval touch, well seconded by the technical excelence of the guitar riffs. These elements have puted this group as one of the most inovative in recent metal.
The standard base is power metal: fast, tecnhical and very melodical.
If you are feeling down, no doubt this will be your sountrack to cheer up. Just a warning: dont listen to this if you are on the wheels, you'll find yourself speeding up just to keep up with the music...
There are no weak songs here, all is good and coherent with the story line...yes, this could be the score to a DragonHeart sequel...
I believe that track 8 is a monument to prog metal and for music itself...but this is just my opinion and this cd was one of the records that stayed longer in my playing list of all times...
Rating (from 1-5) 5 stars , without a doubt in my mind.
