The boys from Caravan don't have anything more to prove. Wanting to free themselves from any constraints, they financed the recording of this CD with Pledge Music (a campaign I contributed to) and surpased their goal by 50%.

Perhaps surprisingly from a band that became famous writing epic lenght and quirky musical pieces, Paradise Filter consists of 10 short to mid-lenght tracks refering to personal subjects. This being said, all the typical instrumental and vocal elements (even though the band has changed many of its members) from their peak period are still present on this CD.

Paradise Filter will certainly not be remembered as one of the "great" Caravan albums. It's a CD made by aging musicians that still have something to give, still love what they do and can still do it better than many artists in their prime. For that, and the fact that Paradise Filter is a fine album, it will have a special place in my CD collection.
