On Pergamon, Johannes Schmoelling was introduced on a TD album for the first time. The concert, which was recorded for this album and realeased under the name Quichotte in 1980, was the first which the East German government officially allowed to take place in one of the government's buildings. It took two years of hard preparation to make this event possible
Live album. Originally released as an album and cassette only by Amiga (LP catalogue number 855 819) under the name 'Quichotte', (listed separately in the discography).
This album was remixed and re-released under the name 'Pergamon' in 1986 when Amiga's recording rights expired (see above for sleeve and details of European release). Also released on CD in the USA in 1986 by Caroline Records (catalogue no. CAROL CD 1). Re-released with a different cover in 1992 by Relativity (USA, catalogue no. 88561-1056-2). Re-released again in 1996 (with identical music and a similar cover to the Virgin one pictured above) by Castle Essential (UK/Europe, catalogue no. ESM CD 413) and by Castle/Sequel (USA, catalogue no. 1047-2). Re-released yet again in 2000 in the USA by Castle (catalogue no. CMACD 576).
