This sophomore offering from Peter Gee is a progression from his first CD. Featuring a steady line-up on all songs, with an occasional guest musician, it is a very tasty offering. The sound on this CD is a far cry from his work with Pendragon. There are jazz influences, a bit of folk and a good dose of rock. Occasionally the Genesis influences are obvious, particularly from the Trick of the Tail era, but never overwhelming. Ian Salmon’s guitar work is very tasteful and Gees songs tend to be lighthearted and easy on the ears. This is a great diversionary CD, though not as challenging as the more hardcore proggers may desire.
