With Peter Baumann’s involvement and some very good early releases on his Private Music label from Eddie Jobson, Jerry Goodman and Yanni, I had hoped for the best with Optical Race. Major mistake and a waste of hard earned cash. Nothing here is memorable having more in common with John Tesh (who also recorded with Private Music, unfortunately). Coming from a band that was so ground breaking and innovative, I can’t recommend this to anyone unless you enjoy ‘new age’ pap like Cusco or Peru.
