    The Darkness '76 double-CD gives us live recordings from 3 locations around the time of the release of Still Life. Unfortunately, the muddy sound of the Toronto tracks (CD1 tracks 1,2,3 & CD2 track 1)take all the energy our of those preformances (LaRossa is practically un-recognizable!). The New York tracks (CD1 - 4,5,6) are a substantial improvement and if the whole CD sounded this good - it would still be a grade C bootleg. (The NYC performances are inspired and some of this does come through). The other locations (France and Germany) fall somewhere in the quality of the Toronto and NYC performances. There are many other boots and official live recordings of VDGG out there - that is the way to go.
