Steven Wilson posts at the Porcupine Tree web site:
This was originally put together after we recovered an offer from Lazy Eye Records in Holland to do a limited edition 10" vinyl EP. I used 3 leftovers from the abandoned double album of "Up the Downstair" on Side One and recorded 2 tracks especially for Side 2, including a new version of a track dating from the cassette years "Yellow Hedgerow Dreamscape". My favourite track from it though was the other new piece "Rainy Taxi", named after a Salvador Dali installation and inspired by Ashra Tempel (again).'
An additional 30 minutes of material from the
Up the Downstair sessions. 10" version was limited to 2000 copies
