Zaapa planned this to be a 4 record set, but the record company thought oftherwise, so much of the material was spread over 4 albums: Live in New York, Sleep Dirt, Studio Tan, and Orchestral Favorites.

Läther was finally released as a 3-CD set in the format originally conceived, with the addition of four bonus tracks at the end. Because this music appeared elsewhere, Läther is a mix of previously available material, alternate mixes, and previously unissued stuff.
