I suppose in 1984, Kansas was waning in popularity and this was one last ‘cash-in’ (or so we thought) from the boys and girls at Kirschner. I remember buying this album and wondering why? One of the most ridiculous purchases I would ever care to admit, but back then I bought everything just because. Nothing here that would have any appeal for real music fans that got past Dust in the Wind. Bonus tracks on the ‘CD reissue’ only adds insult to injury. Yes, Kansas is an evergreen band, a cash cow for the powers that control the vaults at the record company.
If I read about one more Kansas box set to be released or ‘best of’ package, I will never be able to listen to Kansas again with a straight face. Perhaps I have heard enough already?
