Japan always seems to surprise when it comes to great prog and fusion music, KBB, is a band that centers around great musicianship, and lets the talents of their violinist lead the band through themes and melodies. So the effect I am getting from them are very familiar sounding bits from bands such as: Kansas, Mahavishnu,Dregs, Doug Cameron, JL Ponty, and more. Lot's of long pieces, not overly complex, yet enough so to keep your attention on high. All instrumental, and very epic songs, each it's own identity, which shows the bands ability to draw from the many influences that keep appearing throughout the cd. Sometimes the songs are heavy and driving, and other times they are more somber, and some are both, I would suggest that if any bands that I mentioned here above appeal to you in any way, KBB is a can't miss for you.
