From the Catalan region of Spain and the city of Barcelona, Dracma were formed by keyboard player Jordi Amela, and guitarist Jordi Prats who had been playing in a band called Rara Avis. In April 1993, they joned with Jordi Planas (bass), amd José Luis Pacheco (drums) to bring the band to full size.
Jordi Amela and Jordi Prats went on to play with the Dutch/Spanish band Harvest and in 2017 they helped form the band On The Raw.
