LaHost were part of the 'New wave of progressive rock' that emerged from England in the mid 1980s. (other bands in this group included Twelfth Night, Pendragon, IQ, Pallas and Marillion).
The band was formed by Sean Godfrey and Stephen Bennett after the breakup of their band Airbridge. and the band released a couple of singles in 1985. In 1992 an album was released that is a compilation of tracks originally released on demos, a single and a compilation appearance, 1984-85.
The band's drummer, Fudge Smith later went on to become a member of Pendragon and Henry Fool.
