Passport is Klaus Doldinger with a varying cast of well known and not so well known performers. An evolving musical sound that ends up sounding like Passport at the end, this band defined Rock-Jazz-Fusion in the 70's.
The band was most influencial between 1971 and 1977 both in their music and their distinctive and colorful album covers. During this period the band included well respected musicians at the early part of their career such as Curt Cress, Wolfgang Schmid, and Kristian Schulze.
Hermann Weindorf was a member of this band from 1982-86.
Doldinger has also made a reputation for scoring films - (The Boat, Neverending Story among others).
