There are many reasons to know the name Hermann Weindorf. Most recent may be that he was as the conductor of the Eurovision Song contest. Wiendorf was one of four musical brothers and has been a member of a number of significant bands including Munich, Octagon, Zara Thustra, Panorama, Passport (1982-1986), Versailles, and he was on The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra recordings for the hits of Queen, Pink Floyd, and Elton John.
Wiendorf has also been responsible for many releases of church music, soundtracks and two musicals.
Since 1991 he has been the permanent director of the St. Bruder Klaus Choir in Munich-Waldperlach.
