Aquacadia is an independent American progressive rock duo that blends a wide array of influences—ranging from 1970s retro-rock and synth-pop to instrumental rock and post-punk. Their sound relies on a heavily layered, studio-crafted approach, mixing "basic sounding" traditional rock instruments (electric/classical guitar, bass, percussion) with a prominent array of synthesizers. This eclectic, DIY fusion of melodic hooks, cinematic atmospheres, and shifting electronic textures places them firmly in the crossover art-rock spectrum.

Formed in the United States in late 2014, Aquacadia is a progressive rock and electronic crossover duo comprised of Gary Jacobs (electric and classical guitar, synthesizers, composition) and Gregory D. Davis (lead vocals, percussion, bass, electric guitar, synthesizers, composition). Originally operating between Lexington, Kentucky, and St. Louis, Missouri, the duo later relocated their respective bases to San Antonio, Texas, and Berkeley, California.

After several years of writing and studio collaboration, the duo released their debut full-length album, Into Atalantia, in April 2019. The album serves as a diverse showcase of their style, oscillating between stripped-down classical guitar interludes, driving synth-pop, and instrumental prog-rock jams.

Because both members handle synthesizer duties and guitars, their recordings have a distinctly layered, "soundtrack-like" quality. While they initially focused on this full-length format, Aquacadia has recently shifted to releasing a steady stream of digital singles throughout the 2020s, continuing to build their independent digital footprint.
