Tommi Liuhala, a living legend in the Finnish prog scene, took part in the production of this CD. Liuhala previously worked with such bands as Wigwam, Kalevala, and Haikara.

This Finnish band hearkens back to the 80's version of fusion music, I often am reminded of quite a few
artists that had established themselves during that era, they are comprised of the guitar, bass, drum, keys, and sax
line up, and maintain a fairly smooth approach to their sound. The sax plays a prominent role as do the keyboards,
at various times, I am reminded of David Benoit, Dave and Don Grusin, Pat Metheny, and a bit of Weather Report.
The band stays on the more relaxing side of the jazz/fusion idiom, putting together music that is both contemplative
and melodic.
They avoid the smooth jazz tag by staying true to more serious playing and writing, rather than attempting to
hit the muzak-ish radio waves where slick popjazz is finding a new home. Back during the 80's there were a few bands
treaded outside the trends towards that kind of music, bands like Skywalk, Oceans, Tom Grant, Jeff Lorber, Karizma,
were some of the bands that were creating music like that of Mist Season.
None of the players tends to stand out, all are talented individually, yet as a unit they convey many musical scenarios, thematic
soundscapes for those more relaxing moments.
