Reviews

review by: EricSome of you might remember this groups excellent second album, the King Crimson influenced Sever Root, Tree Dies. I bought Dumb Ask thinking the band would continue in this style, but man was I wrong. Produced by famed indie/ garage/ grunge/ alternative guru- Steve Albini this sure does fit in that groove as there is nothing ‘progressive’ about this. More in keeping with your average local flavor of the month garage band who pride themselves on not taking their music ‘too seriously’, the sound is loud and obnoxious with no redeeming value whatsoever. The title of this disc is quite appropriate. Avoid at all costs, but do pick up Sever Root, Tree Dies.
