Reviews

review by: DBSilverIf you are looking for these CDs, this boxed set represents your best deal. Sonically only the 2001 re-masters can top it but considering the cost of this boxed set versus the cost of inddivual remasters, this may be the best deal. The 2001 individual remasters do contain bonus tracks however and this may be a consideration on your purchase.

Tull fans sometimes have preferences to periods of music. These 3 albums represent the foundation of this band (though similar music makes up a good part of Living In The Past. Aqualung stands alone as a blending of this early style with hard rock and with leanings towards the Art Rock that was to come, and this is follwed by the concept progressive masterpieces Thick As A Brick and A Passion Play. If you are not famiiar with the earlier sound of the band and you are a fan of Aqualung then you are definately missing out and each of these albums, especially Stand Up and Benefit should be on your shopping list.
