Reviews

review by: MJBradyA.F.O.S. is my personal introduction to Marillion, and to neo-prog for that matter, while I pondered the debate over the "is neo prog, or not prog?", all the while I listened to this cd, well, I am still confused over that issue as prog seems to have limitless boundaries that defy such predictable typecastings. This cd is not prog as I have come to know, but certainly has some very entertaining qualities, from my standpoint I can see this cd progressive the same way I can see Toto as a progressive band, this is no backhanded compliment by any means, as I own most every Toto cd, my point is that Toto has a high degree of musical talent, songwriting skill, and makes the simple stuff sound elaborate, and the difficult sound easy, Marillion, here has that same capability. I am not sure how this cd rates with Marillions best as i am new to the bands style, but I found that this is a decent cd, well produced, performed and conceived.
