review by: DBSilverThere is little new on this CD for Spock's Beard fans. Many performances sound almost note for note from the studio records (a very impressive accompishment!). I expect live recordings to have a live mbience which makes the CD worth buying even when I already have the studio CDs. This is not the case with Don't Try This At Home.
Gibberish is the notable exception - although little is added to the song in this performance, just knowing that the complex vocals are being performed 'live' enhanced the listening pleasure immensely.
The bottom line is that this is a good CD - there is simply no compelling reason to buy this CD if you already have the studio releases. On the other hand, I am a SB fan and I would still go out to buy it regardless of my previous statement.
