Reviews

review by: RobDead Can Dance is not standard Prog Rock.
In the 15 years of their existence they have crossed many borders in different musical styles, beginning with the New Wave self titled album to the following albums witch are inspired by Gothic- Ethnic - Asian - African - Midlle ages music.
Certainly they have been breaking the traditional style for making music and therefor certainly progressive.
So this album Spleen and Ideal was the first step to let them to wellappreciated musicians and gave insperation for movie makers/ documentry makers and fellow musicians for taking samples from the beautiful voice of Lisa Gerrard.
Her voice is also used for the Porcupine Tree - Voyage 34 song and many other artists.
Certainly worth a listen. Some will love it other will hate it.
