Reviews

review by: MJBradyThis two lp set compiled songs of old and current music from the bands discography at the date of this release. Arguably the best line-up of the bands history, and certainly the most prolific. The stage is set for a live show that would document the bands legendary live performances.

The first lp takes you through some of the bands most recent material featuring some selections from Songs from the Woods, Heavy Horses, War Child, and Thick as a Brick. The second lp continues to go back furthur into the bands history, and they even toss a song that is unique to this recording named Conundrum a great little instrumental tune that could be for some the highlight of the album set.

To go on with much more about this recording is really somewhat redundant, the sound is decent, and the performances are first rate(great drum solo by Barriemore Barlow on this), but you'd be far better off hearing the bands studio renditions of all of this music prior to thinking about this one, and when you have the discography covered and find you are in fact a true Tull fan, this is when getting this album becomes a necessity.
