Reviews

review by: DBSilverThere is a lot of music from the album V here - along with some older stuff not found on the other live releases and I can whole-heartedly recommend this CD for serious fans. The recordings are made from the sound-board and this usually leads to reviews which say the sound quality is not the hightest. The fact is, the high caliber performances along with the sound qualities of this recording give this CD ambience of a 70's live release - which is not entirely a bad thing. However the fact is that this CD is not up to the standards for live albums of the last decade.
Here is what you get then - a recording of well played songs - which demonstration performance skills, technical brilliance, compositional excellence, and the melodic sounds that have marked everything Spock's Beard has done. My only advice is that if you are not already a major fan of this band, start with a studio recording - - almost all of them will impress you. If you are serious fan - you must have this recording (if you do not already have it) and if you fall somewhere between then take your hard earned cash and explore other prog bands until the time when you have become a must-have-everything Spock's Beard fan. This CD will be waiting for you.

review by: Rob There and here is only available through Radiant Records internet sales.
And it's worth to buy it
As a big fan of this enthousiastic Prog-Rockers I don't understand why it's not in the shops
The recordings are from the 2000 and the 2001 tours and contain their best songs.
From The Light and Beware of Darkness to At the end of the Day
To me, all the best stuff that money can buy.
But Spock's Beard wouldn't be Spock's Beard if they didn't make a special medley of their or other's best classics.
Also on this From the fault-part-4 are the boys into Deep Purple with Space Truckin and Led Zeppelin with Whole lotta Love
Besides the great quality of writing the songs, Spocks Beard is always a band that makes a live performance a great happening, just by being themselfs and having fun playing music.
I don't care that the vocals on this CD-s are not always of the best quality.
What the H, if you having fun...
