The bass is amazing throughout, though this may not be noticeable at first listen. In fact, it is the kick-ass keyboards and metallic drumming that can immediately be pin-pointed as the driving force of this music. But the bass kinds of holds together the music, perfectly working beneath the surface to give the music even more power and depth. Ok, the keyboard playing is a must here, as it has always been when talking about this band. It is this instrument that will probably keep the fans to want to come back to this album, and without it, this would most probably be considered a prog-metal-fusion album. The keyboards therefore provide this music with a complete symphonic touch, which really enriches the music.
For fans of powerful keyboard driven progressive, this is an album to seriously take in consideration.
