The music in Identidade does take some steps into the so called South-American Symphonic School, but nevertheless seems to be more focused in the leanings of Anglo-Saxon legendary bands like Camel, yes, Genesis and even, occasionally, Pink Floyd, though many resemblances can be pin pointed with the Continental Prog of Focus. It’s an all instrumental album that really seems to be coming out from the 70’s, so obvious is the choice of the band to recreate the major line bases from that decade. The use of Hammond, Mini-Moog and Flute, plus the style of the guitar sound and soloing is very well thought and it really does have that 70’s spirit. Very melodic, sometimes complex, the music flows nicely, always maintaining that aforementioned “spirit”. The compositions are well thought and very interesting, so if you are a 70’s Progressive rock fanatic, this may well be a swell discovery and a nice add for your collection.
