I heard of this band while surfing the web, after a series of searches and links from the Aghora site. The Kolios Project is an internet group of multi-national musicians that are collaborating together to create a form of highly technical, heavy, complex instrumental music. Music that will stir the senses of the followers of such bands as Spastic Ink, Aghora, Cynic, Behold.. The Arctopus, Dysrhythmia, etc. From what I am hearing on this 4 track demo, they are most certainly on the right track.
The music is very articulate, not relying strictly on riffs alone, but nice arrangements that include atmosphere as well. They have a great synergy between them for a band that composes via the internet. Each musician is a stong player, and the recordings are what one may expect from a demo, they are very good, yet will be even more interesting after some professional editing and production are added.
If ideas are enough to help stir some attention to a band, these four songs are convincing me that this band will be a much talked about one in the near future, or I could only hope. Apparently there is another spin off band from the core members of this band called - The ATM Project, the music is in a similar vein, and the link to that site is available through the Kolios link provided at the artists page here at Proggnosis.
Definitely a band that will appeal to a lot of people into hard prog, tech, fusion, and instrumental music in general, go to the band's site to hear what I am talking about.
