po90 was formed in 1996 by Andy Tillson Diskdrive and Sam Baine
po90 is the same band but the new official title for Parallel or 90 Degrees. The band re-named itself in the fall of 2001 with the relaunch of their web site. Parallel or 90 Degrees is the subtitle of a song by Bo Hansson. His piece is called The Sun, (parallel or ninety degrees). In the words of Andy Tillson: 'This philosophy is what our band is all about, following certain lines of musical development, but then breaking with the rules and going off at a tangent.'Lee Duncan, drummer with Po90 on the albums Afterlifecycle and The Time Capsule took his life in August 2002. He was working with ex Po90 guitarist Graham Young in the "Urban Jazz Guerillas" band.
