Arsnova began in 1983 at a university in Tokyo. Under influence of ELP and Italian progressive bands such as Goblin and Il Balletto di Bronzo, they built their own sound style.
1985 Keiko Kumagai joined the group.
1993 drummer/violinist Akiko Takahashi joined.
Arsnova participated International Progressive Music Convention in Los Angeles on November 1995 and the audience welcomed the band from Japan enthusiastically.
1996 Arsnova participated ProgDay'96
1999 New Member 'Mika' joined.
